Seamless Scale For Your MongoDB Servers

How often have you struggled with scaling up your MongoDB hosting servers? You started off on a small server, but now your business is growing rapidly and you need to throw in more memory, more CPU, and more disk.  It can be a tedious and time-consuming process for you to upgrade all of your existing MongoDB servers. There’s also the additional danger of “customer downtime” – you need to carefully synchronize the upgrade of your server hardware.

At ScaleGrid, we’ve heard this from a number of our customers, so we decided to do something about it! Last week we released our Seamless Scale feature which allows you to dynamically increase the CPU,  memory, and disk for your MongoDB servers.  It’s a one-click operation where you can choose the size you want to scale your servers to, and ScaleGrid will take care of the rest.

If you have a MongoDB replica set, you can also do this without any downtime! ScaleGrid will perform a rolling upgrade of your replica set – it will bring down one server at a time and upgrade it to the new specifications before bringing it back up and moving to the next. You can do this on MongoDB instances deployed in the ‘SYSTEM’ machine pool or your own custom machine pools, or Cloud Profiles.
