LEADERSHIP

Meet the Team

Chris Miller has more than 25 years of experience operating, scaling, and acquiring software companies. He has been involved in more than 20 acquisitions, from initial evaluation through full integration. Chris has been entrusted in a C-level role at more than one dozen companies.

As CEO of ScaleGrid, Chris provides hands-on executive leadership, helping the company in all aspects of the business. His primary focus is on providing customers with a world class DBaaS platform, while optimizing teams, processes and healthy growth.

Loredana has more than 15 years of experience in customer success and operations in the software industry. She has led multi-million dollar acquisitions of software companies and has developed strategic solutions for Professional Services, Operations, Customer Support and Customer Success departments.

As COO, she implements ScaleGrid’s corporate strategy, and is focused on daily operations that align with the company’s vision, goals, and objectives.

Edward Farias is an operating partner and CFO with more than 20 years of experience in finance and operations management with SaaS, technology, professional services, and media companies. He has been involved in more than a dozen acquisitions with a total enterprise value approaching $1billion.

As ScaleGrid’s CFO, Edward brings expertise in finance operations and leadership, helping in all aspects of the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance, and data analytics.

Gavin Drake is a 25+ year veteran of B2B software marketing with a focus on building scalable growth while developing powerful brands and passionate customers. Gavin brings experience across a range of company sizes, industries, go-to-market models and geographies.

Gavin runs ScaleGrid’s global marketing team, geared towards turning customers into advocates while developing the company’s brand and market position.

José is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience managing both remote and on-site cross-functional teams of all sizes. He has a successful track record of driving revenue growth and overdelivering on objectives.

As CTO at ScaleGrid, José is focused on continuous improvement, data-driven management, and promoting a healthy work environment that consistently delivers value to customers.

Jeremy Burr

Spotlight Managing Partner

Jeremy Burr has extensive experience acquiring and operating middle-market companies. Prior to co-founding Spotlight Equity Partners, Jeremy founded and managed Venatus Capital Partners, a private investment firm that outperformed 98% of its private equity group peers making investments in comparable vintage years.

Jeremy is a member of the Vistage International Chief Executive Leadership Program, a member of the Sacramento Angels early stage investment group, and he has been recognized by the Sacramento Business Journal as one of the region’s top 40 business leaders under 40 years old based on his leadership, creativity, accomplishments, and community involvement.

Philip Hall

Spotlight Managing Partner

Philip Hall has significant experience acquiring and financing middle-market businesses. Prior to co-founding Spotlight Equity Partners, Philip was a Partner at Inner Circle Sports, a New York City-based investment banking boutique focused on the global sports, media, and entertainment industries. Philip was previously a co-founder of Tara Capital, which sold to EnPro Industries, a U.S. publicly-traded company, generating returns that resulted in Tara Capital outperforming over 90% of its private equity group peers making investments in comparable vintage years. Philip is an avid traveler and maintains an expansive network of professional relationships throughout the United States and in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Suken Shah

Spotlight Managing Partner

Suken Shah is an experienced private equity investor with 15 years of experience investing in and building businesses. Over his career, Suken has acquired or invested in more than 20 companies with combined enterprise value exceeding $3 billion.

Prior to co-founding Spotlight Equity Partners, he led the acquisitions of iCongo and hybris, which were subsequently merged and sold to SAP. He also led the acquisition of Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., which was sold to Roper Industries. Suken has a consistent track record of delivering strong investor returns, and the prior investment company he founded outperformed 95% of its private equity group peers.
