ScaleGrid is thrilled to announce the latest updates across our platform, reflecting our commitment to performance, security, and usability. Our recent updates span several versions, introducing key improvements and bug fixes to ensure our clients’ databases run smoother, faster, and more securely.

Updates Across the Board

Improved Database Resilience and Security

Our most recent updates have focused on improving database resilience and security across various platforms. Notably, RabbitMQ hosting has significantly improved, ensuring quicker incident responses, enhanced service-level monitoring, and robust network-level trace capabilities. Additionally, we’ve implemented security measures in the ScaleGrid Control Panel and introduced Point in Time Restore (PITR) for PostgreSQL on AWS, a feature soon available across all clouds and databases.

Optimized Storage and Authentication

To boost performance and efficiency, we have migrated dedicated AWS deployments from gp2 to the more advanced gp3 storage and introduced Auth0 authentication for the ScaleGrid console. These updates improve the operational efficiency of databases managed through ScaleGrid and enhance our users’ security and ease of access.

Continuous Improvement and Bug Fixes

Our dedication to continuous improvement is reflected in consistently addressing bugs and operational issues across our platform. Recent updates have tackled everything from SSL bugs to data encryption enhancements and virtual machine (VM) cleanup. Each fix is a step forward in our mission to deliver the most reliable and robust managed database environment.

Looking Ahead: ScaleGrid’s Roadmap

Our roadmap includes exciting features, including granular permissions for Oracle Cloud, ensuring organizations can customize access to their specific needs. Moreover, our operational improvements are set to continue, emphasizing ScaleGrid’s support organization and improving overall operational efficiency.
